Bruce O. Bekkedahl in Billings, MT, practices in the areas of estates and trusts, tax, and closely held business. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, a nationally recognized non-profit association of lawyers and law professors who are elected based on reputation, skill, and contribution to the profession. Bruce is also a member of the Business, Estates, Trusts, Tax and Real Property Section of the Montana State Bar, and was a member of the Uniform Trust Code Committee of that Section which commented on the drafting of the Montana Uniform Trust Code enacted in 2013. Bruce is a frequent speaker and lecturer on estate, trust, and tax topics. 

Bruce received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Montana School of Law in 1981. After law school, Bruce practiced with a small law firm in Williston North Dakota before taking a leave of absence to attend the University of Denver Masters of Law in Taxation Program from 1985-86. From there, Bruce moved to Scottsdale Arizona to practice with a boutique estates and trust law firm for five years. Bruce moved to Billings in 1990 and practiced as a sole practitioner through 1994 and served of counsel to two law firms in Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona. In 1994, Bruce was a founding partner to the precursor firm to Patten, Peterman, Bekkedahl & Green.
